The Circle

Earthly toils dirty us not
As we cleanse ourselves in the pruity of love
Burning not in the scorn of man
But gently lifted by earths endless breath
We thank the mother for her bountiful tithes
As we return to her arms in majestic light
Completing the circles of endless times past
To begin again new in this earthly task

Corporate Communism

This is my little rant on Corporate communism in america. We truly live in a world of survival of the fittest and democracy is no more. The strong prey on the weak and exploit those that don't have the ability to stand up for themselves. As a server making $2.23/hour plus tips (and in todays economy that's a joke) First living on the east coasts mid-atlantic region, we got dumped on by mother nature so of course the government steps in and requires everyone to stay at home. Does the corporate communist care what the government says or do they even listen, I think not. As I call to let my boss know I will not be for my shift, I get the response "I'll come pick you up." Well first I'm not going to be stuck in the slave house without a means of escape. So I tell him, I'll get there as soon as I can dig out but I'll probably be late. *click* I hang up. Mother nature is being generous with us this year and decides to give us a second round. Again, the wonderful government steps in but this time puts driving restrictions out, so when I call to find out "if" or "when" the slave house is open I'm told that the will be opening at 4 pm. Well with the driving restrictions in force I won't be there I reply. I hear "Well you gotta do what you gotta do!" Like I'm really going to drive into work when I could get a citation for being out on the roads. How greedy is this corporation. First by making their managers drive on roads that are dangerous but then by encouraging patron to come out of their houses and drive on those same dangerous roads. Do they not understand the reality of putting people in danger. Again, just their corporate greed. How has america turned from democacy and defending the weak to allowing the corporations to take over? It's a sad day!
